Who Is CB Cotton’s Husband?
A husband for CB Cotton has not been reliably identified. Some websites describe her as married, while others call her single. Neither description should be accepted without supporting information.
The public material reviewed for this biography did not establish a confirmed spouse or wedding announcement. That leaves her marital status unknown rather than proving she is unmarried.
If you came here for a husband’s name, there is no dependable answer to provide. Adding a name from an unsupported profile would make her biography less accurate.
Is CB Cotton Married to Ike Ejiochi?
You may find pages naming journalist Ike Ejiochi as CB Cotton’s husband. However, a July 2026 report identifies Ejiochi’s wife as Feven. It also states that they married in December 2024.
That reporting does not support calling him Cotton’s current husband. It also does not establish a past romantic relationship between Cotton and Ejiochi.
The distinction matters when reading older biography pages. A claim can remain online even when it lacks evidence. Here, Ejiochi should not be presented as her spouse.
CB Cotton Past Affairs and Relationships
No reliable public dating history was found for CB Cotton. The available interviews and professional profiles do not establish former partners or a sequence of relationships.
There is also no sound basis for publishing claims about affairs. A search phrase asking about someone’s romantic life does not establish that those events happened.
Her personal history therefore cannot be written as a love story or relationship timeline. The information available supports a fuller account of her family background and career instead.
Early Life in North Carolina
Cotton has identified Hickory, North Carolina, as her birthplace and Jacksonville as the place where she grew up.
Her connection with North Carolina continued into adulthood. She attended university in Chapel Hill and later worked in the state. This makes North Carolina an important setting in both her education and early employment.
Her background also provides context for the family stories she has shared publicly. Those accounts focus on heritage and relatives rather than romantic relationships.
CB Cotton Family and Heritage
Cotton has spoken about being the daughter of a Black American father and an Irish American mother. Her father’s ancestry includes Nigerian, Ghanaian and Congolese roots. Her mother’s family has connections to eastern North Carolina.
She has also shared memories of her maternal grandfather, Jimmy. He came from a farming family and became an electrical lineworker. Her account describes him as someone who worked hard to support his family.
These family details come from her own reflections. They offer a more personal side of her biography without requiring assumptions about her private relationships.
Education and University Experience
Cotton graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016. Her résumé lists a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and electronic journalism, with a minor in dramaturgy.
During university, she worked with Carolina Week in production, reporting and anchoring roles. She also helped create Wake Up, Carolina!, a morning social media news program.
This shows that her practical experience began before her first full-time local television position. Student broadcasts gave her opportunities to prepare stories and deliver reports while completing her degree.
First Place at the Hearst Journalism Awards
In 2016, Cotton won first place in the Hearst national television news championship. The award included a $5,000 scholarship and a Hearst Medallion. The official winners’ page identifies her university as UNC Chapel Hill.
This is a documented achievement from the beginning of her career. It belongs alongside her later television work because it shows recognition before her move to national reporting.
The award should also be described accurately. It was a journalism scholarship, rather than evidence of her current salary or personal wealth.
Starting Her Career at WITN
Cotton worked at WITN from May 2016 to June 2018 as a multimedia journalist and bureau chief. Her résumé lists reporting responsibilities across Onslow, Duplin, Jones and Carteret counties.
Her duties included shooting, writing and editing reports. She also handled live coverage under deadlines. These responsibilities show that her work extended beyond presenting information on camera.
Local reporting can involve several stages of the same story. Cotton’s résumé documents experience with those stages before she moved to another television market.
Reporting at WKRN in Nashville
Cotton joined WKRN in June 2018 and remained there until November 2020. She worked as a multimedia journalist and produced her own stories and live reports.
Her Nashville coverage included Middle Tennessee’s March 2020 tornadoes. She also received an Emmy nomination for reporting on social justice protests during summer 2020.
A nomination is different from an Emmy win. Keeping that wording clear gives you an accurate account of her professional recognition.
Denver7 and Colorado Coverage
Cotton began working at KMGH in Denver in December 2020. She became a lead evening reporter focused on crime, justice and law enforcement.
Her assignments included the Boulder supermarket shooting and the December 2021 Marshall fire. Those stories formed part of her Colorado reporting before she joined Fox News.
Her work also extended to community needs. In April 2021, she reported on a Denver woman providing food and clothing to unhoused people. That article offers an example beyond emergency coverage.
Joining Fox News
Cotton joined Fox News on February 6, 2023, as a New York correspondent. The announcement described a role covering breaking news from the network’s headquarters.
The move followed her work across three local television markets. It brought her reporting to a national audience after several years of field experience.
Her career progression is easier to follow through these documented positions than through personal-life speculation. Each station forms a clear stage in her professional history.
Personal Interests Away From Reporting
Cotton plays guitar and has discussed her interest in musicians including Lenny Kravitz. She also named Electric Ladyland as her favorite Jimi Hendrix record in a family heritage interview.
Music adds another dimension to her public biography. It gives you something about her interests outside television while staying within information she has shared.
Her career announcement also describes her as professionally fluent in Spanish. This is another documented skill alongside her broadcasting experience.
